The portrait of an America as strong as vulnerable

By

What inspires the art of Nadia Lee Cohen is clear: the English and American cinema of the fifties and sixties. Born in 1990, she's a photographer and director, and has a true cult for the female figure and for all the extravagant and unusual subjects (often her friends). His shots enhance the strength and beauty of the forms of the human body, made of shapes, of flesh, but above all of harmony.

A graduate of the London College of Fashion, after several trips to America she created the series "100 Naked Women", in which each character reflects his thoughts. Nadia's nudes are not only perfect nudes for an Instagram feed to be proudly exhibited. They are excessive, surrealistic and extremely fascinating. It portrays non-professional models, of all sizes, in everyday situations such as watching television or cooking, in locations that are always very evocative and iconic.

The locations? Californian skies, saturated colors and vintage flavor. At the same time, the art of Nadia reflects the America of splendor and sickness. Recurring themes are fast food, Coca-Cola, drugs, cigarettes. Her women are poised between strength and vulnerability.
