We met the face behind LaVue, a newborn jewelery brand based in Milan. The eyes of this one who seems to have seen elsewhere, having sought a non-trivial meaning, have responded to some Acrimònia curiosities.

Marina Manfredi, LaVue founder

Why is LaVue born?

LaVue is the result of years of an aesthetic imaginary that I have kept in my head. Characterized by femininity, superstition, eroticism. The moment I felt ready, I assembled all these thoughts and naturally I arrived here.

What’s behind its name?

It means “the sight”. My motto is: “We must see, before we look.” Because it’s important to go beyond, beyond everything that happens every day. For when I have this vision of the world, I often experience quite particular episodes.

Each necklace has a meaning, which one?

Each necklace is designed to protect those who wear it. The symbol of the eye, in Turkish culture, pushes the gossips away. I have always been fascinated by the symbolism…  And then each has the name of a constellation!

Will the next collections see an increase in products?

Definitely. I state that each piece is unique, I use new and vintage elements. It will therefore be impossible to find two equal pieces.

How will LaVue be tomorrow?

What I dream is to create a community of strong and passionate women, I would like LaVue to become the symbol of all of them who aren’t afraid of being independent and self-confident. It’s a path of growth that I felt on my skin like many others including Miriam Ayaba, the singer I have chosen as the protagonist of these photos. She is elected queen of her life. Every woman should do it. I am interested in creating the aesthetics of this personal revolution.
