Invented in
1996 in
Japan, the year after the
Tamagotchi has made its way into the European and US markets. The creator is
Aki Maita. Tamagotchi was born as a small virtual pet inside an egg, the owner had, then, the task of dealing with it as if it were true. The success was assured and in a short time about 40 million were sold.
Appealing for shape and color, the object is now
21 years old and last November it was launched a new version able to revive the emotions of the
90s. This is the original version, but the eggs have a renewed and even more colorful design. The dynamics of the game, however, have remained unchanged and perfectly recall the mechanics of over 20 years ago.
