It was
1995, when the
Spice Girls dominated the music charts, sporting bold colors, oxygenated hair and bloated shoes. The protagonists of the sixth chapter of
Nostalgia Box are, precisely, the
Buffalo London sneakers. Gigantic, heavy, able to lift the wearer of several centimeters from the ground, the Buffalo have marked an era, have characterized different looks, they did (finally?) their return.
The British brand was born at the end of
1970, initially specialized in the production of cowboy boots, then proved ready to produce a sports model that with the addition of the famous wedge has reached the undisputed success.
Today, almost twenty years later,
Buffalo London offers the same sneaker model made of better and innovative materials. The
admiration towards the
90s is unquestionable, the
advent of the
ugly chic as well, the moment of revival seems to have arrived. Last November four new models were launched, including the
Buffalo Classics, available only at selected points of sale. The
Hightower will be back soon too.
Between
salopette,
platform and
chocker, the 90s are, definitely, affected.
